Dr. Asit Kumar Mandal, was granted his B.Sc. (Ag.) from UBKV, Pundibari, Cooch Behar; M.Sc. (Ag.) and Ph. D in Plant Pathology from IARI, New Delhi. He was awarded several scholarships and fellowships (ICAR JRF, IARI-SRF) during his study period. Dr. Mandal started his distinguished carrier as a Scientist at ICAR-Directorate of Seed Research, Mau (UP) and currently he is working as assistant professor at BCKV, Nadia (WB). He was awarded with the prestigious; Jawaharlal Nehru Award for P.G.; Outstanding Doctoral Thesis in Agricultural and Allied Sciences conferred by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. He has authored four book chapters, several popular articles and many research articles in reputed journals that are some of his acclaimed publications. Dr. Asit Kumar Mandal, specialized in Plant Pathology, is actively engaged in research projects and providing his valuable guidance to students pursuing various courses of Plant Pathology at UG and PG level as well as aspiring M. Sc and Ph. D scholars
