Dr Arvind Mathur is a passionate teacher, conscientious doctor, and humble researcher with a focus on geriatrics. As the nodal officer for the Regional Geriatric Centre at Dr S.N. Medical College, Jodhpur, he was pivotal in advancing geriatric education in India. He is a founder and past president of the Indian Academy of Geriatrics and serves as editor of its journal. Dr. Mathur, a member of WHO’s Clinical Consortium on Healthy Ageing, Global Network on Long-Term Care, and the TAG on Integrating the Health and Care Workforce, has contributed to ageing-related research and policy, including WHO's SAGE studies. Additionally, he founded the Caregivers Asha Society to support informal caregivers and enhance their role in healthcare.
