Prof. B. L. Chaudhary, presently Chairman, Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan, Ajmer was Senior Professor of Botany and the former Vice–Chancellor of MohanlalSukhadia University, Udaipur (Raj.). He has been the former Dean and Chairman, Faculty of Science. He has published 35 books in Hindi and 15 books in English on different aspects of Botany and Environmental Sciences. He has been the member of Board of Studies of different Universities and Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan. Thirty students have been awarded Ph.D.  under his supervision and two are working. He is referee of several research journals and has published more than 85 research papers in different National and International journals. Professor Chaudhary has worked in the capacity of member, Board of Management; Dean, Student Welfare; Coordinator NSS; Member, State Level Committee on SLET and Incharge, Environmental Sciences. He served as science specialist in State Hindi Granth Academy and Honorary Director, State SC/ST Corporation from 1993 to 1998.  In 1993, the State Government has honoured him for his substantive contributions in Environmental Sciences.
