Golam Kibria

Dr Golam Kibria is currently a Global Scientist of Artifcial Mussel (AM) Pollution Watch Program, Australia. He planned/ led pollution risk assessment (heavy metals risks to biota, water quality, human health, and livelihoods) in Australia, Bangladesh, Greece, Myanmar, Russia, South Korea, and Sri Lanka (as a Lead Scientist of the Global AM Pollution Watch Program) (since 2008 and continuing). As a Senior Environmental Scientist, Dr Kibria managed cutting-edge research related to threats and risks posed by pesticides to biota, irrigation and drinking water, ecosystems, and human health inAustralia (in collaboration with Federal, State and Regional Government Departments during 2001-2012 periods). In recent times (since 2016), he was associated with plastic and microplastic pollution-related research, investigations, and capacity development training in Australia (Government departments) and other Asian countries (Universities and govt. departments). He has been a peer-reviewer of 20 International journal papers (Elsevier’s, Springer), and an Adjunct Professor, at the City University of Hong Kong. He has published six books on chemicals, climate change and pollution, 45 peer-reviewed journal papers, 36 peer-reviewed technical reports and 22 community capacity building and behaviour changed environmental and sustainability education articles.
