Dr. Heera Ram is currently working as Assistant Professor in department of Zoology, Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur (Rajasthan), India. He did his postgraduation from Mohan Lal Sukhadiya University, Udaipur and doctoral degree from Jai Narain Vyas University in the field of atherosclerosis and therapeutic applications of desertic medicinal plants. He has published around 30 research articles in national and international journals and supervised three doctoral degrees. His research area focused on applicability of the traditional knowledge and herbal formulations in ameliorations in metabolic syndromes. Nowadays, some affords are also concern on the applicability of phytocompounds in diabetes associated complications and hypercholesterolemia complications.
