Dr H. N. Gour, former Professor and Head, Department of Plant Pathology, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur is an eminent scientist. He has research and teaching experience of over 35 years. His excellence particularly on ‘Physiological and Molecular Aspects of Verticillium Wilt and Biopesticides’ earned him incredible laurels including appreciation letters from  renowned laboratories of Michigan State University, USA and University of Saskachewan, Saskatoon, Canada,  inviting  him  to work with them. He has over 90 research articles published in various international journals.  He is credited with an illustrious academic career in the policy making as a member of various committees such as Review Committee on Genetic Manupulation (RCGM), Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India; Research Advisory Committees (RACs) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR); Academic Council, MPUAT, Udaipur; Task Force on Biopesticides (DBT, Government of India) and Post Graduate Course Revision Committee, ICAR. He has also organized global conferences, edited publications of journals, news letter and annual reviews of Plant Pathology for a society. He is nationally recognized with various awards such as: Biotechnology National Associateship Award by DBT, Fellowship of Professional Societies, Principal Investigator for projects on Virology and Aflatoxins.
