M.S. Binoj Kumar  after obtained Ph.D Degree of Bharathiar University in 1993 for the work conducted at Botanical Survey of India in the field of Plant Taxonomy, Dr M.S. Binoj Kumar joined as Lecturer in the Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Botany, Santana Dharma College, Alleppey in 1994. He is an approved Research Guide of the university of Kerala in the field of Plant Taxonomy and has successfully guided a good number of  Ph.D Scholars. Dr. M.S. Binoj Kumar is author of several academic and scientific  books and has published more than 50 Research Papers in National and International Journals. He is also member of various  scientific associations in India and abroad. His field of interest is Plant Taxonomy,  Ethnobotany and Biodiversity Conservation.
