Dr. M.V. Subba Rao is Professor in the Dept. of Botany, Andhra University since 1993. After having a Ph.D. in 1977 in Plant Genetics, he had his Post Doctoral Research Training in Plant Tissue culture from Max-Planck institute at Köln, Germany. He has 32 years of post-graguate teaching experience. He has guided 14 Doctoral Theses & published 58 Research papers in reputed national and international journals. He had published 3 reviews and had contributed chapters to books He was the Princial Investi-gator for four Research Projects. Prof. Subba Rao had co-authored books written for Distance Education programs of Nagarjuna University & Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University. He was also the Editor  for two books for M.Sc. Botany (Distance Educat-ion) of Andhra University. His main interest in the field of tissue culture is under-standing the genetic basis of in vitro response.?
