Dr. Naresh Kumar was born on 11th October, 1975 in Bilaspur District ofHimachal Pradesh. He did his B.Sc. (Forestry), M.Sc. (Forestry) and Ph. D. (Agroforestry) from Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan, Himachal Pradesh. He has been engaged in teaching and research for more than 12 years and havemore than40 publications inthe form ofresearchpapers, book, book chapters, technical bulletins, extension folden etc. Earlier worked as Assistant Professor in College of Horticulture and Forestry, Central Agricultural University, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh. Presently,he is working as Sr Scientist (Agroforeshy) in ICAR - Central Agroforestry Research Institute (CAM), Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is associated with different research projects focusing on short rotation tree species, improvement of wastelands through silvipastoral system, agroforestry based farming system, conservation agriculture etc.
