Dr. Pravin Chandra Trivedi, Ph.D., FBS, FPSI, FNSI, FLS, FBRS, FMA, FES, Professor of Botany and Vice-Principal of Maharaja's College, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur (India), has a brilliant academic career, standing first in all examinations. He worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the North Carolina State University, Raleigh, U.S.A., in 1983-84. Dr. Trivedi has published more than 150 research papers and review articles. He has edited and written 25 books. He has guided 24 Ph.D. students. He has been the Principal Investigator of several major research projects funded by national organisations like DST, DBT, UGC, CSIR and ICAR. Dr. Trivedi has visited several major research laboratories and presented research papers in many international conferences in the U.S.A., Canada, U.K., Germany, The Netherlands, Japan, Italy, Denmark, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Singapore, Austria and Belgium. He is a member of the editorial and advisory board of many reputed journals. Presently, he is convenor of the Indian Science Congress Association; Jaipur Chapter, Councillor of Indian Botanical Society and Indian Science Congress Association; Joint Secretary, Mendelian Society and Honorary Secretary-General of the Rajasthan Academy of Sciences.
