Dr. Peddi Harikrishna has obtained M.Sc. in Botany from Kakatiya University and Ph.D. in
Botany from Osmania University, Hyderabad. His previous affiliations were with
the Forestry & Ecology Division of the National Remote Sensing Centre,
Indian Space Research Organization, Hyderabad as a researcher under the
supervision of Dr. C. Sudhakar Reddy, Scientist and he worked on biodiversity
characterisation at landscape level in Rajasthan and the National Carbon
Project's long-term forest cover change component. He has 15 years of research
experience in Remote Sensing and GIS applications in forestry and biodiversity.
He is working as Botanical Assistant in the Botanical Survey of India. He has
published 25 research papers in peer reviewed journals and he has co-authored 3
books.
