P.K. Ray has PhD degree in Pomology from IARI, New Delhi and is presently Professor of Horticulture at Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa (Samastipur), Bihar. He started his carrier as Assistant Professor in the Department of Horticulture, at Ranchi Agricultural College (now Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi) in 1976. His professional career of teaching, research and extension in the field of Horticultural Science spans over a period of 35 years. He has been teaching both UG and PG horticultural courses for more than three decades and his current research is focused on increasing productivity of tropical and subtropical fruits.
