Rajesh Sharma

Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Founder- Teacher, and Former HOD, presently working as Senior Assistant Professor in Department of Architecture & Town Planning, MBM engineering college, Jodhpurestablished on 1998 and has a teaching experience of over 20 years in various capacities. Dr. Rajesh Sharma has received a Ph. D. on Thermal Performance of glass facades from Jai Narayan Vyas University, Jodhpur. He is the First qualified Architect HOD of Department of Architecture & Town Planning in Jai Narayan Vyas University, Jodhpur. In the tenure as HOD he introduced new courses in the department like BCT (Bachelor of Construction Technology) and PGDID (Post Graduation Diploma in Design). He is an practicing architect in Jodhpur and has done many projects like residential, commercial, interiors, industrial, conservational and landscape. He has been involved in development of IIT Jodhpur as an Local Architect. IIT Jodhpur, it is the first campus in the world with self sustainable model, catering its own energy and water requirements. He has introduced innovative methods of teaching in architecture. In his academic career, he has been member of various boards at several universities and faculties. He is involved in active practice of Green & Sustainable Architecture. His general research interests focus on environmental systems modeling, environmental risk assessment, and modern architecture. He has extensively published his works and research in various national and international journals. He has presented papers at many conferences and has participated in a number of foreign projects. He has organized and participated in various conferences, seminars and workshops. He has made a short film at EMMRC “Indigenous Architecture of the Courtyard Houses - Walled CityJodhpur”. He has done research on various topics like building envelopes, flexible buildings, and sustainable buildings in hot and dry climate. He has been awarded in various categories in the field of architecture like dream house award for his contributions in building house of Mr. Devendra Mathur, Mahabalipuram, Jodhpur by Aditya Ultratech., Indian Concrete Institute, Rajasthan State Centre and Certificate of merit for his contributions in making Sports Complex, Ummed Club, Jodhpur as an Outstanding Concrete Structure in 2016 by Aditya Ultratech., Indian Concrete Institute.
