Dr. R. J. Patelearned his B. Tech. in 2004, M. Tech. in 2006 and Ph. D. in 2016 from College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh. He is expert in Soil and Water Engineering with emphasis on Irrigation Engineering, Soil Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Groundwater Engineering, Watershed Management, Remote sensing and GIS etc. In year 2009, he joined as an Assistant Professor at the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh. He has been an active teacher, researcher and has guided number of B. Tech. students in his area of specialization. He worked from 2006 to 2009 at various positions in marketing of MIS in Netafim Irrigation India Pvt. Ltd. and Nagrajuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.  He qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) examination for lectureship/Assistant Professorship in the professional subject Soil and Water Engineering conducted by ASRB, ICAR, New Delhi in 2010. He has many research publications in national and international journals and conferences. He is a life member of Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers (ISAE) and Gujarat Association for Agricultural Sciences (GAAS).
