S.B. Das is Professor and Head of Department of Entomology at Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur. He did his M.Sc (Ag.) (Honours) Entomology in 1984 and PhD (Entomology) in 1989. He has 36 years of experiance of research, teaching and extension. Has supervised 12 doctoral, 30 post-graduate research students and successfully completed 20 research projects as Principal Investigator and has released seven crop varieties. He has published more than 150 research papers and 04 chapters. He is Fellow of Plant Protection Association of India and Society of Plant Protection Sciences and Applied Zoologists Research Association. He was Course Director of 21 days ICAR sponsored Summer School and Member of Board of Studies in Entomology & Agricultural Zoology in the Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi from 2013-18.
