Smt. Seema Kumar, did her M.Sc. from School of Entomology, St. Johns College, Agra in 1984 with specialization in Zoology (Entomology). As lecturer she taught graduate classes at JNRM, Andaman & Nicobar Islands for two years. Thereafter she joined as scientist in November 1992 at AFRI (ICFRE), Jodhpur. She has a vast experience of working on pest problems of forest nursery and seed pests of arid and semi-arid regions. She has also contributed in the field of high altitude entomology of NW Himalaya and taxonomy & systematic research on Diptera of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Rajasthan. She is an excellent bird watcher. In last three years she has also contributed in the field of agro-forestry research and extension. She has published 35 research papers and articles.
