Dr. Suresh Kumar Chaudhari is presently working as Assistant Director General (Soil and Water Management) in Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi. He obtained his graduation and post-graduation from Jawaharlal Nehru Agricultural University, Jabalpur and Ph.D. from Mahatma Phule Agricultural University, Rahuri. He had specialized trainings in the area of management of saline and sodic soils from United States Soil Salinity Laboratory, USA and University of Rostock, Germany. He has developed deep insights and fundamental and conceptual models of soil-water movement through salt affected soils. He has worked on various scientific positions in different Institutes of ICAR. He is a Fellow of prestigious professional academies and societies like National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Indian Society of Soil Science etc. Dr. Chaudhari is a recipient of ICAR-Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Award, Outstanding Achievement Award in 2010, 12th International Congress Commemoration Award and TWAS Medal in 2009.
