Dr. S.P.Vyas (b. 1947) abtained his M.Sc (Botany) and Ph.D in degree from Jodhpur University, Jodhpur. He Was associated in various capacities With CAZRI from 1976 to 2009 after working as temporary Lecturer in Department of Botany, University of Jodhpur. He has perused in the areas of assessment and utilization of Natural resources including Plants. He alsc worked on the areas of Wasteland development and altemate land use systems under varied agro-ecological situations. He is member of various scientific societies and Was on the editorial board of three scientific journals. His scientific achievements are amply re?ected in more than 110 research paper in the joumals of national and Intemational repute and books authored by him. Presently, he is involved in developing science education in the Jodhpur city of Rajasthan
