Dr. Surjit Singh (1953) born at Ahmedgarh, District Sangrur (Punjab). The author did his M.Sc. & Ph.D. from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana (Punjab) & now working as Senior Extension Specialist, Department of Agronomy, PAU, Ludhiana. He has published 39 research articles in National Journals of repute, 33 conference/seminar papers and also published 101 popular articles. Also he has 20 recommendations (as a co-worker especially in the discipline of weed science) for the benefit of Punjab farmers. He has handled one adhoc research project and one is in progress. He is teaching under graduate and post graduate courses for 17 years & also prepared one practical manual on weed management. He guided 7 M.Sc. students as major and 3 as minor advisor. He has also published two book chapters, one research bulletin and prepared CD on “Weed Control in Wheat” for the benefit of students, scientists and farmers.
