Dr. Vijay Paramanik is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Zoology, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak. His areas of research are phytohormones-mediated neurobiology of learning and memory, and neuroprotection through the gut-brain axis. He is recipient of many national and international awards and fellowships. He is a member of the Society of Neurochemistry, India, the International Brain Research Organization, the Indian Academy of Neurosciences, India, the Japanese Neuroscience Society, Japan, and the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI). He is Vice President (Biogerontology) of Gerontology (AGI), India.
