Dr. V.S. Mehrotra, born in 1965, obtained his B.Sc. (Ag.) and M.Sc. (Ag.) degree from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar (Uttaranchal) and D. Phil. Degree from Allahabad University, Allahabad (U.P.), specializing in the field of Mycology and Plant Pathology. He is the recipient of `Krishi Ratna' Dr. M.S. Swaminathan Jr. Research Fellowship in Plant Pathology awarded by World Agriculture Farmers Memorial during M.Sc. (Ag.) Programme. Dr. Mehrotra was awarded K.S. Krishnan Research Fellowship by the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India to work on mycorrhiza for his D. Phil. degree. He has to his credit several research papers/articles on mycorrhiza in national and international journals. He has participated in several national conference/seminars/workshops. He has participated in an International Workshops on Computer Networking organized by UNESCO-UNEVOC in Bandung, Indonesia. Presently, he is working as Lecturer in Vocational Education (Plant Protection). He was awarded S.N. Das Gupta Gold medal by the Indian Phytopathological Society, New Delhi for the best paper presentation. Dr. Mehrotra has worked as Principal Investigator in a project funded by Department of Science and Technology's (DST) on Mycorrhiza at Allahabad University. He has to his credit development of several competeary based Guidelines, Curricula, Instructional Materials and Video film in Agriculture for vocational courses.
