This practical book represents a assortment of concepts from other laboratory manuals, textbooks, CPCSEA guidelines ones past experience in pharmacology laboratories. The objective of present book is to meet a need of B.Pharm undergraduate students for pharmacology as per the PCI new syllabus. This book consist of experiments based on theory with preclinical screening models for different activity, demonstration of animal experiment, OECD and biostatistics. The book opens with an outline of how to prepare to work in the pharmacology laboratory, which I believe are most clearly understood from a historical perspective. The central core includes experiments using in vitro tissues, isolated cells and cell-free biochemical system, focusing on those that are unique to pharmacology. A common response is that laboratory practicals are redundant and have been replaced by computer-assisted learning and stimulated experiments.
