Preliminary phytochemical screening has been performed in petroleum ether (40-60°C) benzene, chloroform and ethanol extracts of the taxa for the presence of steroids, triterpenoids, sugars, alkaloids, phenolic compounds, flavonoids, catechins, saponins, tannins, anthraquinones and  amino  acids.  Among  the solvents used for extraction ethanol is found to possess more number of compounds than the other solvents. Among the compounds tested all the fern taxa poooooo otoroido, ougars, alkaloids, plwnols, fhrvonoicL , RaponinR, tannim: and amino acids. Triterpenoids, catachins and anthraquinones  are completely absent in all the fifteen taxa.
