The genus Acmella Rich. ex Pers. (Asteraceaee) comprises 36 species globally, with 11 taxa (ten species and one variety) in India. Extensive field surveys in many districts of Uttar Pradesh and critical examination of herbarium specimens deposited in herbaria revealed the presence of five species of Acmella, namely Acmella ciliata, A. oleracea, A. paniculata, A. radicans and A. uliginosa. Detailed morphological description, phenology, high-resolution field and microscopic images along with a key to the species identification of Acmella in Uttar Pradesh are provided
