Frequent ethnobotanical surveys were conducted between August 2004 to June 2006 in different tribal villages of Ratlam district. Results of these surveys indicated that 21 plant species are used in ethnoveterinary medicines by the tribal people of the district. Botanical names, followed by family, local names and the ethnoveterinary uses have been provided.

In this paper a total of 96 trees belonging to 35 families and 77 genera have been enumerated. Most of the species (10 species) are belongs to family Mimosaceae. Rest of the species are followed by Caesalpiniaceae (8 species), Moraceae (7 species), Fabaceae (6 species) and Apocynaceae (5 species)
