Chandra Bhan Singh, Ph.D., Dean, College of Agriculture, J.N. Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur and worked as Professor, Plant Breeding and Genetics since 25 years. He has a distinguished academic record. Dr. Singh is Ph.D. in Genetics from IARI, New Delhi with Post Doctoral research experience at IARI, New Delhi and CSIRO, Australia. He has guided more than 30 Ph.D. and 50 M.Sc. students and published more than 150-research papers and review articles in journals of national and international repute. Dr. Singh is a widely traveled, renowned pulse breeder gave a novel idea of using Vicia faba with zero tillage in relay cropping. He was actively associated in developing varieties of soybean and fababean. His guidance and leadership are the main factors behind popularization of soybean in Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Singh is an honorary Fellow of Indian Society of Genetics and Plant Breeding and presently working as referee of many journals.
