Dr.K.Senthilraja has
obtained Bachelor in Agriculture, Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Environmental
Science from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore. He obtained
a competitive UGC national fellowship in support of his doctoral degree. Currently,
working as a Research Associate in the Agro Climate Research Centre, TNAU,
Coimbatore to study the impact of climate change on nutrient and water use
efficiency. Established the methodology for mitigating the
greenhouse gas emissions from paddy crops during his post-doctoral research
funded by the NIBIO, Norway. Served as a consultant in MANAGE, Hyderabad,
studied the impact of climate change on crops, and developed weather-based agro
advisories and disseminated through the NICE portal under the CCA-RAI project
for various agro-climatic zones of Tamil Nadu. He has received 6 awards and
recognition in the various scientific forum including young scientists and
contributions to research projects. He published 12 book chapters and 20
research papers in peer-reviewed reputed journals.
