Dr. M. B. Zala, Assistant Research Scientist (Ag. Entomology), Agricultural Research Station, Sansoli, Anand Agricultural University (Gujarat). Graduated from B. A. College of Agriculture, AAU, Anand, with first class in 2011.  Passed M.Sc. (Agri.) and Ph.D. in the subject of Agricultural Entomology with distinction from the same institute during 2013 and 2018. During the study period, he has been Awarded with AAU Fellowship for securing the highest OGPA in M.Sc. (Agri.) in AAU and other fellowships to support his education. He has qualified NET examination conducted by ICAR in 2013 with 87 percentage. 

           During his five years service, he has been engaged in education, research and extension work. He has been engaged in UG teaching as well as ICAR, NET Coaching cum Training for PG students. vDuring the period has published a practical manual for UG Teaching. He has given eight new technologies for farming community and three for scientific community pertaining to crop protection/production. Among which, Integrated Pest management (IPM) modules of castor, rice and maize crop are of major importance. He has been involved in research of castor variety (GAC 11) and hybrid (GCH 10), released by AAU, Anand. He has worked as Principal Investigator/Co-investigator in various research projects sponsored by government/other agencies. Published 26 research papers in national/international journals and presented 10 research papers in state/national/international seminar/conferences/symposium, has also recorded five insect species for the first time in Gujarat. He has conducted 47 farmers/extension workers trainings as coordinator/co-cordinator and delivered 147 lectures in trainings organized for farmers/extension workers, including 200 hours training as training Co-ordinator sponsored by Agricultural Skill Council of India. He is diligently involved in planning and coordination of trainings, FLDs and farmer days and published 80 popular articles in magazines/newspapers, 15 folders and one book in vernacular language aiming transfer of agricultural technology. He has also written four book chapters in various books. 

        He is life member of various five associations/societies at state/national level. He has achieved eight awards/recognitions from government institute/scientific professional societies in his credit. He has been working as farm manager at the centre since 2017 and engaged in crop protection/production research on castor and maize crop
