Prof P K Bora is presently working as the Director of North Eastern Regional Institute of Water and Land Management ( an Institute under the administrative control of Ministry of Jal Shakti, Govt. Of India), Tezpur, Assam. Before joining the present assignment he has been a Professor in Soil and Water Engineering discipline in the School of Natural Resource Management, College of Post-Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences, (Central Agricultural University, Imphal),  Meghalaya Campus. Prof Bora has about 30 years experinece in teaching and research. He graduated from J.N.K.V.V., Jabalpur with Gold Medal in B.Tech (Hons.) and did his masters from IIT, Kharagpur. He completed his PhD research in 2000 from IARI, New Delhi. Prof Bora also completed numbers of externally funded projects in the field of water management and water science and technology. There are about 52 research papers (both national and international), 10 book chapters and 35 seminar presentations (national/ internationl) to his credits.
