Dr. Ravi Kiran Arigela has
obtained his masters in Botany from Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada, Andhra
Pradesh and Ph.D. in Botany from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
He has 15 years of research experience in biodiversity research with focus on
taxonomy. He was with National Remote Sensing Centre, Indian Space Research
Organisation (ISRO) as a researcher under the supervision of Dr. C. Sudhakar
Reddy, Scientist and worked on the vegetation types of the Rajasthan State by
using Remote Sensing and GIS. He was also associated with National Institute of
Advance Studies (NIAS) & National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) and
worked on the endemic & cryptic birds of Western Ghats. He is working as a
Scientist in the Botanical Survey of India. He is co-authored in one book and
has published 45 research papers in peer reviewed journals. He works on the
ecosystems and biodiversity of them.
