Dr. S.K. Gupta is working as Principal Scientist (Plant Pathology)-cum Student’s Welfare Officer in the Students Welfare Organization of Dr. YSP University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan and made rich contribution in the management of horticultural crop diseases.He attained the position of Principal Scientist in July, 2006, Scientist Incharge cum Programme Coordinator, Horticultural Research and Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kandaghat in June, 2010, Joint Director (Communication), Directorate of Extension Education in August, 2013 and Professor and Head, Department of Plant Pathology in April, 2017. He has to his credit 95 research papers published in various National and International Journals, 21 review/ book chapters, four, Research Information bulletins, one manual and five books. He has guided 10 M.Sc. and one Ph.D. students. He was the member of University statutory bodies like research/ extension councils. Dr. Gupta visited Italy and France in connection with various academic pursuits.
