Dr. S. S. Katewa, Professor and Head, Department of Botany, M. L. Sukhadia University, Udaipur, is fellow of the “Society of Ethnobotanists’, “Society of Science and Environment” and an active researcher pursuing research in the field of Ethnobotany, Ecology and Agrostology. He has guided research under several research projects funded by the University Grant Commission, Ministry of Environment and Forests, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Department of Science and Technology, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Tribal welfare, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research and Directorate of watershed Development and soil conservation, Govt. of Rajasthan. Dr. Katewa has published more than 85 research papers in various National and International Journals. He has produced 15 Ph. D. students. He has been attending conferences, symposia and seminars in India and abroad. He is the recipient of 'Brandis prize' for the year 1999 by Indian Forester and received "Best Poster Award "at a national symposium in 2001 by the Indian Society of Plant Genetic Resources, New Delhi.
