Mukund Joshi,  is presently  working as Associate Professor  of Agronomy. The contents of this book are  written based on the result  of more than 17  years of his research as well as 13 years of teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has published six other books of national importance on the subjects like dangers of using pesticides, irrigation, and field crops, besides organic farming. In addition, he has published more than 45 research papers in national and international journals. He has also carried out the  survey of organic farming   in Karnataka  and documented  many success stories.
